In general the most common mode of failure within any power supply is  inevitably due to electrolytic capacitors reaching their end of life,which at worst can then result in subsequent catastrophic semiconductor failure - or at best just a dead unit. As part of the service process we check the condition of all capacitors within a product and replace where necessary using only high quality long life and low ESR Japanese brands (typically Nichicon, Panasonic or Rubycon)  rated to 105 Deg C. We do not use low cost Chinese or Korean capacitors. Hence we are the only power supply repair specialists within the UK to offer a 2 year warranty on most products serviced.

After servicing, using specialist electronic loads within our service department, we are able to fully retest the functionality of your power supply to the original manufacturers load ratings. By using original components we also ensure that the original safety certification (typically UL, CSA or VDE for example) is adhered to along with European EMC directives.

Due to our contact base we have at our disposal a vast range of stocked components as commonly used within the power supply industry. This stock enables us to offer both a faster turnaround of repair as well as a reduced cost for replacement components (which is subsequently passed on to our customers).
