As ex-Ferrus Power Ltd. engineers we have extensive experience in the repair and refurbishment of the Thermo part 4201 166 93213 250W multi-output power supply as used within the Thermo Elemental / Thermo Fisher / Unicam Solaar M6 series of atomic absorption spectrometers.
As part of the original engineering team at Ferrus Power Ltd. we designed in the 4201 166 93213 power supply for Unicam / Thermo Elemental (now Thermo Fisher) in Cambridge in the UK back in the late 1990’s. We are the only facility in the world to hold all of the original service and manufacturing information for this product including parts lists, schematics and original windings drawings (a common failure with these power supplies - especially the L8 and L9 lamp output windings).
We frequently service units deemed as BER by third party repair facilities who are unable to service these units - often as they either lack the experience of these units or are unable to source and replace key components (such as windings for the D2 lamp supplies). If you have had a unit deemed as BER we guarantee to be able to refurbish for you (as long as not fire damaged).
